A great old ’70′s picture!

This Picture above is from an My Aunt Edna Watford. My Uncle Derrick was all smiles in this picture. He really loved his motorcycles!

He was one of the toughest, hardest working and most honest men I have ever known. We did not spend a lot of time together, but when we did I was always impressed by his work ethic and generosity.

Unfortunately he came to a tragic end on February 24th 2012 dying after 27 days of anguish from being shot in the gut with a shotgun during a home invasion robbery at his home in a rural area just outside of Lamar, S.C.

At the time he was 70 years old and recovering from colon cancer at the time of the robbery. To this date no one has actually been charged with the crime despite positive identifications and massive amounts of evidence.
